Artouro is a private tour assistant for David Duchovny's band and crew. Only people on the band list can sign in. This page explains what it collects and why.

What we collect

  • Your Google account's name and email, when you sign in with Google. They're used to check you're on the band list and to greet you by name. We don't ask Google for anything else.
  • Your questions. Each question you ask is sent with the conversation so far to Anthropic (the company behind Claude), which writes the answer. Your first name goes along so it can address you.
  • Usage counts. For each person: how many questions they asked and roughly how much each answer cost, by day and month. It's used to keep the shared account within budget. Daily records are deleted after 120 days.
  • Spotify connection, only if you connect it: Spotify sign-in tokens, so the app can play and pause songs for you.

Where it's kept

  • Your conversations stay on your device, in your browser's storage. They aren't saved on our server, and signing out deletes them from that browser.
  • Your sign-in and Spotify connection are kept in encrypted cookies in your browser. Signing out ends the sign-in and removes the Spotify connection on that device.
  • Usage counts are kept in the app's database (or in the server's memory when no database is connected).

Who else is involved

  • Google: sign-in; the band list, song book and day sheets (Google Sheets and Docs); and the Fun stuff map (Google Maps), which loads in your browser.
  • Anthropic: writes the answers to your questions. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, questions sent through its API aren't used to train its models.
  • Notion: holds the tour itinerary the app reads.
  • Spotify: playback, if you connect it.
  • Open-Meteo: weather forecasts. Only a city's location is sent, nothing about you.
  • Vercel: hosts the app and keeps short-lived server logs.

We don't sell or share your information, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.

Your choices

  • Delete a conversation from the Recent list, or sign out to clear them all from that browser.
  • Disconnect Spotify by signing out; you can also remove Artouro from your Spotify account's app settings, and from your Google account's third-party connections.
  • To have your usage records removed, or with any question, email mitchellwstewart@gmail.com.
